Rezakkah
is a licensed massage therapist who has been in practice for 18
years. She has trained in various styles of massage and is certified
in Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, esthetics, and massage
for cancer patients. She has also studied dance and is a certified
exercise trainer.
While at the Fenway Community Health Center, Rezakkah provided massage
and taught stress management to HIV patients. Rezakkah is on the
massage staff of the Four Seasons Hotel where she developed the
spa services program and designed the hotel's signature treatment,
the "Facelift Massage."
Focusing
on the importance of self-care, Rezakkah created Body Dialogues,
a system of movement-for-self-massage techniques. She teaches this
system to individual clients and to classes. She also teaches couples
massage.
Rezakkah
brings to her work wisdom, deep compassion and a warm, nurturing
presence. She is fascinated by how the body speaks to us eloquently
through sensation, impulse and movement; and she has a profound
appreciation and respect for the way each body expresses the spirit
that lives in it.
In her own words, "My goal is to enhance the physical and emotional well-being of my clients so that they may lead happy, productive lives. Massage enables people to relax and feel at peace in mind and body. Relaxed and at peace, people are more in tune with themselves and can tap into their bodies’ ability to heal.
"Recognizing that each body is unique in its experience and its needs, I offer a customized approach that combines massage for pain, relief, suggestions for preventive care,, and mind-body education. I help my clients develop good body habits, and learn to relieve problem areas with self-care techniques that fit easily into their lives. I teach people how to listen and respond to the wisdom of their bodies, so that they can maintain balance and good health in their lives."
